Oil of Gladness Anointing Oil Hyssop comes in a glass bottle with a screw on lid.  It is perfectly sized for pocket or purse making it convenient and handy when you need it.  Made with Pure Olive Oil and fragrance.

The hyssop scent of this anointing oil reminds its user of spiritual renewal and snow-white purity that can only come through God's grace and power. Hyssop branches are used throughout the Bible in rituals of cleansing and, one might say, new beginnings.

During Passover, hyssop branches were used in apply lamb's blood to the doorways to set apart the Israelites from the Egyptians and to repel the Angel of Death. “Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe.” (Exodus 12:22). The plant was referenced throughout the Bible as an important part of the cleansing ritual.

When David requests the cleansing power of God to wash him of the filth of his sins, he notes that he will be the whitest of whites, a symbol of absolute perfection. “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” (Psalm 51:7).

As the released nation of Israel was organized, “When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people.” (Hebrews 9:19).

Priests used the branches in ceremonial cleansings as told in Leviticus 14. When praying for spiritual cleansing and renewal, the fragrance of hyssop anointing oil reminds us of the power of God to purify our hearts and souls.
